That makes no sense. First the NBA skips saturday with nothing on TV to go head to head with the hawks flyers at the exact same time. Why do they need 2 days off? Then there is only one day off to travel coast to coast? Stern is a ****ing idiot.

I really believe that while in Boston they should play 3 straight days, but the obvious reason for not doing so is to milk the revenue for the NBA and town. Lots of people in town for big games need food, room, favorite team clothing, souvenirs, drink, etc........
Revenue trumps all else, but it'd be nice to put the teams to test just like the regular season and let them deal with the elements of the back 2 back 2 back games when in one city.
I see the reasons for doing it the way they do.
Milk it for all you can get from those who are dedicated fans wanting to be at the games, although it isn't necessarily the die hard fans in attendance. Truth known, the REAL fans cannot afford to be there.
Like the people who fill luxury boxes at MLB and NFL. It's a social event more so than people really being there to enjoy the game.
