buying points in Basketball...worth it or not?

if the line is -110, is it worth it to but 1 extra point at -120?

when is it worth it, when is it not?

considering how much more often ur bet has to win be profitable, and w/o true key numbers like football, I dont really see paying that much for an extra half point being worth it. Mabey I'm wrong and somone can correct me, but even a 1, 2 or 3 point game can quickly, almost randomly turn to a 5-7 point game, so I'd rather get an extra play for the juice I pay then a half point.

For me personally basketball is usually harder to cap small lines, I go reduced juice/(and free points when avalible). Generally its harder to buy points w/ reduced juice

unless buying off 2 it is always all or nothing for me, buy the full 3 points at -170 or take -110
