Looking for good, cheap eats around manhattan. Already know about 53rd chicken and rice and Mamouns. What else we got?
Any of you guys got places to eat in NYC?

#9anything really. Preferably $10 or less for the food. I'm not looking for date night places, plenty of expensive restaurants there, just looking for cheap hidden jewels in this expensive city.Comment -

#11John's pizza on Bleeker St. is the bomb. It's between 6th and 7th aves. Best pizza I ever ate. Salad is off the hook too.Comment -

#12Just go to a bodega and get a bacon egg and cheese. Fried eggs so it is runny. $2.50 - $4.Comment -

#15I have lived in NY for a long time. Every time I go back I HAVE to go to KATZ's deli. I believe it is on Houston st.
They have the BEST Pastrami sandwiches around. Make sure you tip the meat carver at least $2 for a really lean sandwich.
Steak House...Go to Peter Lugers. The best steak in NY.
If you like Hungarian or Europian go to the KIEV. MONSTER chicken cutlets in a home cooked meal. AWESOME.Comment -

#18Originally posted by mdemps9190Ah been there. Pretty good. I think Bleecker street pizza, just up and around the corner is way better though. And Andy I'll have to check out that burger place. I live way further downtown than that but maybe one day I'll shoot up there. Katz's is pretty damn good. And Peter Lugers is obviously the best, but hardly a cheap eat haha. Loving the suggestions guys. What else you got?
You like Bleeker st pizza? Maybe I was there on an off day but I thought it was the worst pizza I've had in NYC.Comment
