I know it is pointless in the long run, but for a few of u guys out there that have hit them, do youall start small and then hit them with a big one? been playin BJ and roulette small and going nowhere. just thought I'd ask from the guys that play alot.

heres one i sometimes use for BJ.

I buy in and set my unit size. I bet that unit size and NEVER increase it ( except for splitting and doubling ) at the end of betting each chip once, i bet whatever i am up in one big bet. maybe not the whole thing, but 60% of that stack..

Sometimes itll get you up in a hurry. i dont know the odds, but its a fun way to play a game that sucks.

The way you've gotta look at it, if you are playing blackjack perfectly (optimal strategy), the house only has a slight edge. As such, you have just less then a coinflip's worth of a chance to win any time you sit down at a table.

If you play for a while and are up a few hundred bucks, stand up and walk away. Feels good to win every once in a while.
