Most people let the line influence their decision. Its not like capping a pointspread. I'm not that good in bases because I have never really capped it that much or bet it that much.
But the best way is cap a game before looking at the line. Every detail of the matchup & lineups. Then come up with a figure in your mind what the price should be on a favorite. If you think you would pay no more than -140 for a team, and look & they are -105, jump the fuk on. The other gamblers of the world are no smarter than you.

Basically what I'm saying is just because a team is -200 and goes to -250 gives them no better chance of winning that fukin game. People act like the line goes up more during the day due to the pitcher & hitters getting better throughout the day or some shit! It's ridiculous!!!
