Went 0-3 today

Played my first ever softball league game as a substitute player. I hit two ground balls and almost beat the throw to 1st one time and flied out once. I also walked once. I caught two pop ups behind the plate playing defense as a catcher and forced out a player at home with a tug. We won the game.

We had a couple beers. It was slow pitch. They have to throw the ball between 6-12 feet or it's illegal. I didn't even practice before I went. I just tried to hit it like a golf ball which I play more often.

I've never played slow pitch.... I doubt I could hit the high trajectory ball, seems like it would be rough....

My Gf has her first game tomorrow, her team has yet to practice...should be fun to watch
