This is incorrect.

The only way the dodgers win by more than 1 run from the bottom of the ninth and in extra innings is by a homerun.

This is correct..

Theoretically 2 runs would score, but since only 1 is needed, the baserunners make sure the man on 3rd scores, and the man on 2nd knows he doesn't matter, as the game has been already been won, so he runs to celebrate (out of the basepath) and is out. Never touches the plate either, therefore the run does not count.
