Bottom 3rd with milledge up...mlb says in play, run(s) but freezes.. yahoo says top 4th 2-0 cubs.. wth happened in bottom of 3rd?

now i see milledge was out at 3rd.. so why didnt karstens score to make it 2-1?

i didnt think about karstens (pitcher) running from 1st base and milledge (OF) running from homeplate.
