    SBR Forum Arbitration Committee?
I haven’t been on these forums long, but I get the impression that SBR does not want to get involved with issues that arise regarding sbr points, especially regarding loans/paybacks and wagers between members placed outside the domain of the SBR Sportsbook.

I believe it would benefit sbr to promote a culture of trust on the forums, the better the image of the forum towards existing/future members, and the better the in-forum experience is, the more traffic will be generated which would increase revenue.

My suggestion would be an SBR Forum arbitration committee, were forum members can apply for arbitration regarding disputes with other members.

For example if one member gives another member a loan but later on they are in disagreement about repayment terms, they could refer to this committee that would review the evidence and come to a fair decision.

It could also be applied to situations were to members have publicly accepted a wager between each other but later on come to a disagreement about if the wager is valid or not.

This committee should also be given the power to confiscate points, in the case were one party does not comply with the decision, their current/future point balance can be confiscated and transferred to the other party.

I don’t know if this has been attempted before and if it has been successful or not, but I do believe that given the success of the points system, it would be wise for sbr to try to improve on it if it will become a permanent feature.

Im glad you like it Lou

It just struck me that sbr is already an arbitration body, and does exactly what I mentioned above between a member and a sportsbook

I guess doind it between members will be less complicated

Never understood why when a poster announces he leaves he is allowed to come back with a new name and still earn points. It should be one household one name one point earner. Not one household, ten names, one point earner.

Good idea. The only problem I see is that on both loans I have been stiffed on, the poster simply disappears and probably uses a different account. So there's no way to force the person to pay me back, since they aren't earning any points anyways.

I guess this would work, but they might just decide to lurk or whatever and never post if they didn't have a way to earn points until they stop getting points taken for the loan.

I kind of like the idea. As others have mentioned some have already changed names and lurk around who have stiffed on loans.

they wouldn't lurk... they'd either actually pay back the loan (because then atleast at some point theyd get points again), never show up here again, or go through alot of loop holes just to earn points.
