Most nerve-racking sport to watch your bet on
    Hockey by far.

It's actually the only sport that makes me at all anxious with a wager on.

It's basically the only sport where the action and swings in the game are totally unforeseeable and so sudden. You go from make or break in 2 seconds with zero build-up.

In every other sport, you can anticipate what is going to happen that swings the game and then abosrb and accept it comfortably.

I'm ice with every other sport. Maybe it's just me.

whatever game of whatever sport I have a wager on at that time is always nervy. Every other game on the board will be a blow out but the one I bet on will be decided in the last 30 seconds

Any basketball, in a close game you have to sweat every shot.

Horses - nothing like watching your horse battle through the stretch only to get beat by a nostril. The races are so short, and can be decided by the blink of an eye. Sure, there's plenty of times you know that you're going to lose, like if your horse dumps the rider out of the gate, or just has no response on the turn. Likewise, there's also times you know you're going to win, like when your horse starts to pull away at the top of the lane, but too often it comes down to the wire and raises the blood pressure.

Guys literally have fukkin heart attacks at the track. I remember JJ's old post about the guys at the track/OTB who were kicking the barrels over and throwing chairs and shit. Happens all the time - most nerve wracking indeed. I've seen grown men crying, guys grabbing their chest, saying "My arm is going numb", etc. etc. Not to mention fist fights and guys having to be held back from jumping over the rail to kill a jockey or attack a poor mutuel clerk. It can transform people into fukkin demons.

Baseball to me is the number one sport where its never over till its over. I mean 7 run innings late in the game just destroy totals and sides in the swing of a bat.

For me I would say when I bet an NBA first quarter. I mean you go down like 3 points in the first 4 min and it gets intense.

would have to be basketball, your luck can swing every 24 seconds.

Watching 1st Quarter bets, in particular on a game tracker, are not fun at all.

Amen to that ! I can still here the sound of the ball hitting the rim, seeing "my" team blowing away a 25 points lead in something like 7 minutes...

baseball maybe, in that the game is never over until the final out. no running down of clock. in hockey, if ur up 3 with a couple of minutes left, quick goals do happen now and then, but most likely the team that's up will win.

hockey is very entertaining and stressful though when there's a ONE goal lead, so one team will pull the goalie and have an extra attacker. very stressful and fun.

with baseball, u can be up 4 in the last inning and u have to watch the whole thing because u never know. anything can happen in baseball. that's why it's my FAVORITE sport to watch when i have money on it.

Nah...when you bet on baseball nothing can surprise you...when you place the bet you ALREADY know that that game is open to everything...NBA feels more like you have the things a little bit under control...your team is down 10 points and you know that's not bad...and 5 minutes later they are 3 points ahead you start celebrating thinking everything is back to normal...and they go 15 points down in the next 2 minutes and never recover...

kind of true. what's strange is that football is probably the least nerve wraking (as possession is normally relatively long for each team) yet is the most popular sport to bet on and to watch

And then your eyes start playing tricks on you when they keep showing the replay, and you start to see it from both sides... "That horse came out!"... "Well, maybe the other horse came in.." "I don't know!" "Fukkin Gomez!!"
