    I lost a 20 thousand dollar photo
I was at the track today and played the pick 5 at monmouth park. My ticket cost was 15$.

I had the first 4 races. My first horse paid $210.00 Second horse paid $12. Third Horse paid 8$. Fourth horse paid $9.00.

I need a 7-5 shot to win $19,400.00. He was the six horse in race 10. He lost by a nose. My six horse was never headed by this other horse until the very last jump.

If you look at the race 10 times, you woukld still think the 6 horse won. Inf****ingcredible, horrific beat. I am sick to my stomach.

I am so pissed I am thinking about signing up to go to Afghanistan for 100k. Sometimes I would love to catch that fuucking break.

I have some some horrific bad beats, this was the worse loss ever.

2 others a 40k pick 6 goes down in the last leg with a 3-5 horse. I did not want to borrow $50.00 for a pick 6 ticket that cost $216. The ticket would have been the only winner for 190k..cursed.

Brutal. Played a couple at Monmouth Park today at Pimlico simulcast, didn't cash anything at that track.

i dont know a lot about horse racing...but isn't there zero risk for the house?

i thought the total vig is like 20%

so basically, the computer pays out the same regardless of what happens...

so your cashing of the 20k bet doesn't matter to the house...their payout is a set % for the players.

        right?

The same thing happened to my son's father. It was the first day they started the Big 6 here - pick 6 horses in specific races to win. He bought a $10 mystery ticket and all the long-shots came in. The last race the favourite Samantha Miss got beat in a photo. $66k turned into a $332 supplementary winner. He almost puked especially since the entire members area was cheering for him and 'guaranteed' he would cash. Horses can break your heart.

Thanks Shari. This is very sickening. Losing by a nose is sickening. Having 30 guys rooting was a movie scene. I know they were looking for loans but it was kinda funny..

Sickening...I could have used that extra coin right now.

Believe me, I understand completely. Not only was it Valentine's Day but it was also the day I found out I was pregnant. I had that money spent and then some. Best of luck - you'll get that money off the horses. It just may be a bit of a slower process than you hoped for today.

JJ, you woulda been with me for the Belmont Stakes, plus a few blankets for your pocket.

Me and my buddy tip off 25% on all pick 4's, 5's, and 6's. IRS was snatching $5700...Buddy was getting $4000.00 I was getting 10K. Now nothing...

I am getting ready to start launching some videos.

When I handicap the pick 4, 5, or 6 I handicap from the last race and go backwards, this way I can see the odds of the first leg at post time. Then I always chuck the favorite "unless" I know the ticket would be huge.

So with this ticket I chucked out the top 5 favorites and took everyone else. I needed a bomb to make my ticket work and I got lucky to get one. The 99 to 1. The only part is, "I got nothing at the end but an ulcer".
