Right, but at the same time george bush didnt flood new orleans and was criticized for taking 3 days to get relief there. Its not as easy as everyone thinks to up and move a relief effort, but this guy took 13 days to visit the region. The haiti earthquake took 7 days to get relief there so 3 days was a good job by bush. Bush was there there within the 3 days as well. Obama is held accountable for absolutely nothing and it makes me sick. Liberal media is in love with this clown.

most know that I despise Obama and his policies but unless he was Black Superman, nothing he can personally do to fix the oil leak. To blame is is rather silly as it was to blame Bush for Katrina. Mind you, if Bush was in power today, the media would be a million times harsher and critical about the way he has handled it.

Umm excuse me you bush dick sucker?? New Orleans in a 2 hour flight from DC, he could have been there in a couple of hours. All of the relief supplies were coming straight from the US so there was no need to ship things overseas. Haiti is much further away and it was also much bigger of a crisis and needed more supplies. Anyways, like bubba the love sponge said...........Fvck Haiti, we have so much shit going on here in the US to take care of and were are playing big brother to every other country in the world. Maybe if they had building codes and regulations then it would not have been as bad.

The response from him is what matters. Plus, the hurricane itself in NO was not the problem. It was the flooding it caused & nothing had been done by the fed govt to prevent this even though the administration had been told time & again it could happen, but nothing was done.

This oil spill is not even a fed govt problem, but the President is getting involved

The levees were breached on Tuesday after Katrina. The Federal Government was there in full force on Friday with relief. This was with the local authorities offering no support at all, and in fact even hindering efforts.

The problem was that on Wednesdy and Thursday, you had every damn news agency in the country in New Orleans hand wringing about Bush letting people die. It seemed to me that while they were bringing in their camera and sound crews, they might could have brought in a few cases of water and some sandwiches.

Nobody anticipated the breach of the levees; overtopping was the concern, and as the hurricane was passing, it didn't appear that was a problem. Mississippi was hit with a lot more force rhan New Orleans.

if it turns out this report about BP cutting corners to save money is true, that will take some slack of obama. However, any disaster that happens during a presidents term is their responsibility and obama has not handled this well at all. And, it works both ways too. Look at bill clinton, people think he is one of the best presidents ever because we had a surplus. They dont realize he reigned over the real estate boom and more importanly, the internet boom. They could have placed a cow in the oval office and our country would have done just fine.
