That was a funny fight and kind of lucky, but Russow got the job done with the 1 punch he landed the entire fight.

Hope some of you guys cashed on this fight. Mike is a fighter that doesn't look like much (physique), but he is tough as nails. He was getting beat the entire fight, but like I said earlier, this fight was a make or break fight for him. He's 33 and may have 2 or 3 good years left fighting and he wanted this so bad. Even though this was a HUGE fight for Duffee as well, the guy is 24 and will be around for many years. He will get plenty more shots at proving himself. I'm eating good this week off my biggest win ever on an MMA fight.

Mike, I watched this entire card and I've got to tell you this. Russow did not look like a man in the best shape of his fighting career. He was woefully out of shape and was getting his ass kicked throughout. That being said, the man has one helluva chin and never wobbled. Durfee looks like he's carved out of granite but he was clearly searching for answers when Russow kept standing toe to toe with him. Eventually and ironically it was Durfee's cardio conditioning that contributed to his stunning defeat. He was out of gas in the 3rd round as was Russow but his hands started to drop and Russow caught him with a lucky punch (but what a punch it was!)

You're right Mike, Russow is a tough guy but he was outclassed by Durfee and his obvious lack of conditioning coming into the fight did not say much for his committment. I would have enjoyed this fight more had it been evident he trained hard for it. But he's got a concrete jaw and apparently, stone hands.

what a great win. This is the kind of fight that makes me watch MMA. It's never over and you can't look away for a moment or you'll miss a great ending. Of course, it didn't hurt that I won money on this fight either.

That was Homer Simpson boxing at its finest. Take everything the guy has until he's completely gassed, then knock him over. That half-hearted hammerfist at the end was awesome. Great show of heart by Russow, though. Humble as hell afterward, too.

I watched the entire card also, and believe me when I tell you, Russow was in the best shape of his professional fighting career. I've known Russow for about 8 years now and he's never looked like a kickass fighter, but he just wins? He actually weighed 270 about 2 months ago and trimmed down to 253 for this fight. He took a leave of absence from his job with the Chicago Police a few months ago so he can focus on training. Prior to that, Mike worked his Police job in the night and trained during the day. Sure, Mike looks like he just rolled off the couch for his fight, but don't let his appearance fool you. I really expected Russow to take the fight to the ground and try and submit Duffee, but Duffee is built like a tank. The fight was shaping up to be the most boring fight of the night until the knock out. Russow trained his ass off for this fight even though his appearance didn't look like it!

You're referring to Pride 33 that was over 3 years ago? HAHAHA. Obviously he wasn't too bothered by it seeing that he went out to leave Pride and sign with UFC. How much did you lose on the fight with Duffee?

Nice call. I didn't watch the PPV, but knew my parlay was busted by this fight when my funds hadn't budged. It just sucks because I dropped Kim (+110) AND Rashad for Duffee.
