What has happened to this guy. I know he is playing for the Royals, but a very subpar season so far.

He has been doing fine until the rough up by the Rockies.

Lack of run support and shitty pen would be my guess.

People on sportstalk radio in Kansas City joke that the big problem is Zac got married in the off season and now he's whipped. Those around the KC area know he's a different breed of cat (really introverted), and now that a woman got a hold of him he doesn't have the killer instinct he had last year.

he has had two bad bad games which makes his stats look a little worse than the rest of his starts would suggest... he is having an off season compared to last season but besides those 2 rough starts, he has been pretty good.. one bad reason is he is on the royals and their hitting is not bad at all, leads mlb in batting average... the worst part for him is his bullpen which is god awful....if u have him on your Fantasy team he will rack up numbers better going into season.. but just because he is starting don't think its a sure bet... you have to look at what team he is playing, day or night, home or what field... bunch of things go into it like any other bet but look for teams he has great success at going late into the ballgame against. if he averrages 8 innings against a team take a chance on him because you will have better success when his bullpen doesn't have to come in until 8th or 9th

Wins and losses mean nothing for a pitcher. He had one bad game against the Rockies so his ERA took a hit, but he remains one of the best.

look at WHIP & how many runs/hits his opposition needs per run. The top Toronto -2.4ish, the worst Seattle, 3.7ish. Changes daily obv.

Too many pitches/strikeouts last year. Catching up to him now.

He has had one good year in his career other than that he is an average pitcher.

I think that all of those innings from last year caught up. He still has very respectable numbers.

No run support and has been losing some tough games. When he has some minimal run support, the bull pen has collapsed.

Its funny how some pitchers get no run support. CC Sabathia gives up 6-7 runs a game, and still gets wins. Lost today, but could have got the win.

that is actually not so far-fetched.

He's had anxiety/personality disorders in the past before, and missed an entire season because of it.

if that girl leaves him consider his career over.
