Live Sports -- How long is the Delay?
Okay, here's what got me interested in the delay between real-time and viewing tv-time.

I've been trying to find the best strategy at BetFair for live play betting on Tennis Games. However, it feels like I'm always at a disadvantage because if you try to lay a bet and leave it up during a rally it's already taken (if whoever you layed against wins the point) before I've actually seen the rally finish on my tv.

At first I thought that there must be some insiders who don't have the 5-7 second wait time when making a live play wager. I then thought this was stupid of me to think that way as it's too conspiracy as that's not my way of thinking.... so then I remembered about how there is always a tv delay as Channels have to cut out foul language as well as transfer time between Cameras/Satellites/Cables.

    So 2 thoughts here.
    1. How long is the average delay? I've read anywhere between 2-15 seconds
    2. Has anyone heard of people going to live sporting events and either a. using a blackberry or something to make live wagers, or b. having continuous cell phone contact with a friend/accomplice and giving them the immediate info.
