seriously though, the Pirate's AA affliate was the most successful team against Strasburg in the minors... maybe they have a little book on him, and how he Tips pitches

Major league hitters know how to hit a fast ball unlike the minor leaguers its a whole different ball game in the pros. Should be very interesting tho

minor leaguers know how to hit a fastball too..... its the off speed stuff that generally separates the minor leaguers from the guys in the show.....

that being said, its not like Strasburg doesn't have +offspeed stuff.....

i'd say he'd be a fav in the -160 range, regardless of who pitt throws out there.

the Pirates rotation looks like it would have the following 3 pitchers in order pitching in that 3 game series

Karstens
Duke
Burres

Karstens prob won't be the starter in that first game though


Strasburg, if he stayed on his normal 5 day rotation would be pitching that last game.... against Burres

I dont think they wait that Long - They will want to start Strass on a weekend to ensure a big gate -

- that would leave him starting vs the Reds on June 5/6 projection means he may be starting vs Harang or Leake at home - either way I think the game winds up very close odds wise - vs Harang maybe -115 to-120, vs Leake -100 to -110

On a Side note how amazing a game would that be Leake vs Strass - two guys who last year weren't yet drafted

they'll get more bang for their buck having him go on a weeknight and getting a full house.....
