Bird a much better all-around player

Bird was a great shot creater on the post and great 3 pt shooter...........did not have the fade away jump shot that Pierce has AND can create dribbling the ball from 14 feet out. Well he could at times and was good for a forward, but Pierce more effective with it and does it frequently.

But with the way the game is called today it is hard to compare.....Pierce gets a much higher % of his points from the free throw line...Still well deserved.

I agree though. Best offensive Celtic ever.

As far as brain power...not sure. I enjoy listening to his interviews though.

Pierce runs Boston, Benzino even know that!!! For those that don't know Benzino, he was a part-owner of The Source magazine and a music label. Supposedly he had Pierce stabbed some years back in a nightclub in Boston.

Artest can not guard Pierce as he is just too big and long

Pierce gets shots up so easy, just tough to defend and pretty strong also.

Pierce is SICK. I met him once coming off a plane late at night in LA. Really nice guy; quiet, shy, but took the time to chat with me for a sec. Great player and leader.
