Now they have a date with the Black Mamba at the Big Dance. Let's hope the clock doesn't strike midnight for them and everyone turns into Vince Carter pumpkins. Now that would be a nightmare. Sorry VC, perhaps its time to get into acting since you're so good at it on the court. Oooucccchh.

As Boston embarks yet on another quest for the championship, one cannot help but stop and reflect on what could have been. Of course, I'm referring to two very promising young stars in Len Bias, the Celtics' second overall pick in the 1986 draft, and Reggie Lewis, who was the early prototype for Paul Pierce. Len Bias died of a cocaine overdose before he even played a single game for the Celts. Reggie Lewis was a potential all star every season he played for Boston, but his young life was taken away by cardiac arrest. That's how cruel life can be. Nobody knows how good the Celtics would have been had these two young and very talented athletes been around especially with Larry Bird around to mentor and guide them, even though Bird was forced to retire at the end of the 1992 season due to lingering back injuries. Lest we forget.

If only the celtics had lost the series after going up 3-0 .. Would have been an epic Meltdown for the city of Boston
