How to Refill a Disposable Lighter

This step by step guide will allow you to refill disposable lighters without needing to chuck them away.
To refill a disposable lighter you may need the following:
* A disposable lighter
* lighter refill fluid
* Needle nose pliers
* Something thin at one end (some pens work perfectly)
To start with great care must be taken when taking the lighter apart as no parts should be lost. If any parts are lost your lighter may fail to work.
1. Remove the metal casing around the top of the lighter
2. Cover the top of the lighter with your hand and remove the sparking wheel. (WARNING! parts may spring out!)
3. Remove the button attached to the gas valve.
4. Remove the adjusting ring attached to the gas valve
5. Use pliers to undo the valve so that it can be taken out
6. Remove the tube that is under the valve.
7. Fill the lighter with gas
8. Place the tube back into the lighter and place any covering parts back where they where
9. Screw in the valve using the pliers until you are happy with how far out it rises.
10. Re-attach the button to the valve.
11. Ensure the spring under the sparking wheel is still there and use the pliers to hold the flint firmly.
12. push the flint onto the spring and use the pen (or other item) to hold it in position
13. Replace the sparking wheel above the flint and make sure it is back in firmly
14. replace the metal cover and test that the lighter works
If no parts have been lost the lighter will have been successfully refilled. Be careful with the flint as this can easily be fired off in random directions.
