Who are you betting to win the World Cup?
Anyone betting on the outright winner?

I may take one of the 2nd tier teams (according to the odds) like Italy or France

Not France boy, Italy, very few chances, either Brazil, Spain or Englad, and my vote goes to Spain, it's still the WC and anything can happen... Good luck...

too early to talk about it. ufc tomorrow, then french open heats up, then nba finals starts, soccer doesnt start for 2 more weeks and dont worry, the valuable dogs will still be there

there are at least 5-6 teams who have a god shot at winning the world cup ,
bud odds of +400 for brazil or spain or +1000 for germany have no value at all

UFC sucks, TENNIS is Gay, NBA finals are rigged,

Plenty of soccer going on right now

Exhibition Matches, Mexican Soccer League, MLS. Etc

you say tennis is gay, but you state Italy to win the WC. Is there a team more "gayish" than the Italians?:P

i find it hilarious that i simply ask a question and people find a way to tell me that my theory of taking a 2nd tier team is not good and that it's too early to talk about it...

god guys, i was simply asking who you like :-)

and no, it's not too early to talk world cup, it's a massive event and you should be capping it now, not a day before it starts

Put one unit on England +680 and one unit on Spain +410 and enjoy your winnings when it's over.

that is a good theory too, take a few of the top fav's...

it's such a grueling event, but i really only think there are 5 teams that have a true chance

Its not to early to talk, but there is no stress to bet on it and tie money up..simply because there will be no major surprises to team, and unless a team suddenly lose like Rooney or Ronaldo, prices will not change alot. You have to agree on that one?

If you pick two teams you can hedge on the final.

i'm not really a fan of hedging but depending on the odds it's a possibility

Thats ok, didnt mention France or Portugal.

What I know is that both Italy and Portugal are teams that are known for diving. Hate that.

Will one of the traditional powers (i.e. Brazil, Germany or Italy) or will an emerging nation (Spain and England) or a new rising team (Ivory Coast) triumph in South Africa? For the record no European team has ever won outside Europe and the trend could very well continue if Brazil performs up to expectations or perhaps a surprising African package rises to the occasions just as the South Koreans did in Asia 2002 when they made it to the semi-finals.
