Anyone ever take prozac?

Off topic here so maybe it wont even be allowed by moderators. But Ive been on it for a few weeks. The past few days although i feel good it suddenly dawns on me how much of a loser i am. Its not a bad feeling just that i feel pretty good but i have nothing to do in life. Im slowly digging myself out of a hole but this ssri seems to highlight what my mother has been saying for a while and that is that i am disconnected from the world. I dont like the long-term effects of prozac so ill enjoy it while i can and hopefully i can make some friends/get a job ect in the next few weeks before i get off of it. Anyone feel like this on prozac before?

Actually Prozac won't do a thing for you unless you have a problem maintaining normal serotonin levels normally. If it is helping you feel better, then you do have a biological issue with respect to maintaining your serotonin levels. So I wouldn't feel like a loser if its something I couldn't help.

and yes, Prozac and the other SSRIs (Zoloft, Paxil) have sexual side effects.

It's one of the main side effects.

I have a high sex drive, Prozac almost flattened it.

Never took prozac... But half of my brain dead in-laws pop them like candy!

I took lexapro a couple of years ago .

Same thing with the decreased sex drive and also insomnia .

Antidepressants can sometimes make you start to feel worse as you're getting better. They take awhile to work.
