If your near a Shopping mall that is a tourist destination(Mall of America,King of Prussia, Edmonton ) they usually have a Currency exchange store/counter but the vig will kill you

Sort of. The US dollar is losing value everyday because Obama printed so much of it. The Chinese Yuan holds its value pretty well.
