In MLB why do you need to run the bases after a Home Run?
What is the logic behind it?

In the event a dude has a heart attack for hitting a grand slam, what happens?

Or if they run the bases and miss one?

Must touch them all at the umpires discretion. You guys should watch the Chris Chambliss home run to end the game for the Yankees in the 1976 ALCS.
          Man, how times have changed.
