You know what's even worse? That a lot of the people who are living in conditions that most people can't even imagine really exist, are happier than 99% of the rest of us. I was in Fiji during a massive hurricane in '09 and people were out on the street, waist-high in water, while all their possessions floated past them. Their huts were washed away, animals were dying/floating everywhere and a lot of people lost everything. And their 'everything' consists of stuff that very few of us would want. Yet there they were singing out prayers while they were walking, and smiling and waving at the white chick driving through in an SUV. A large group of them even rushed up to move things out of the way on the road so I could get through. In a lot of so-called civilised countries I've lived in, people would've been looting everywhere. Screw complaining and start appreciating.
