Some would say it is easier to count the hands/deck in bridge than it is in bj.
Reasons for this:
1) The speed at which the cards go by is slower and more controlable.
2) You only have to pay attention(%75 of the time. less if you are a good team) when you are not dummy.
3) You get to see 28 cards to start(before any cards are turned over) so you have less cards too keep track of.
4) The cards are played in a cadence which helps in counting.
5) cards are often played with matching suits per trick. i.e. heart, heart , heart, heart
6) Most players don't waste mental energy when counting would could not result in any gain. When there are no decisions for you to make.
7)Many contracts are claimed at a very early stage.
Most are claimed before the last card is played.
