Poll: Best Search Travel Search Engine for VEGAS BABY!!!
Looking to head out to Vegas this August. Usually its a great time to go because its ultra cheap and its pool weather. Only thing is, plane tickets are surprisingly more expensive than usual. $350 - $450 from a variety of areas in the midwest. Where do you find your travel deals - any advice?

I either use Southwest Airlines Vacation Packages or Costco

Here's the link to Costco.. you don't even need a membership.. the downside is they use U.S. Airways and they charge checked bag fees

I've kind of narrowed it down to Aria - Caesars - Palazzo I've been to Vegas twice before and stayed at Planet and Hard Rock. Both times it was dirt cheap. Now I want to take my girl so the hotel room matters. "Before it was just four of us wolves running around the desert together in Las Vegas looking for cocaine and strippers."

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check those out. One thing I've used before is Bing Travel (formerly Farecast) It uses a price forecasting system to predict how the cost of the ticket will fluctuate. I forgot to include it www.bing.com/travel

Cirque shows are on sale again this summer.

                    Bring a friend for $25

Or from the Offical Cirque website you can get $50 seats

Usually check with Expedia, Orbitz and directly with the Airlines. Prices change constantly.

I had a nightmare experience with Expedia. Booked a flight and confirmed with the Expedia person I could make changes. When I tried to make a change, they told me I had to call the airline. The airline told me I had to go back to Expedia. Expedia then puts me on hold for 2 hours. I e-mailed Expedia cs. They are scumbag liars with canned, "sorry to hear about your experience, we would like to help". Bottom line, they said we can't help you.

I had to file a fraudulent credit card claim and sign a statement willing to prosecute to get my credit card company to investigate. The charge was reversed.
