newbie--which books have good parlay odds and good payout records?
hi im fairly new to the game. i had a bodog account. i just dont like their parlay odds as that is mostly what i bet. i have read a lot of threads on here about sportsbooks which dont seem to pay out on time or at all, especially larger withdrawal requests.

i was just looking for a book with good parlay odds and one that doesnt screw around with payouts. bodog seems to be pretty good on payouts, but i would really appreciate suggestions.

ps it would have to be a site that allows US customers.

sorry if this is in the wrong place. and thanks in advance

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

Here is a few safe books that take U.S. players that offer pretty good parlay odds for you.

Betonline (SBR rated A-) offers 7-1 on 3 game parlays, and Betpop (SBR rated B-) offers 14-5 on 2 teamers.

      thanks!

i like that the one book allowed parlays up to 25 teamers--even though they are sucker dream bets, it is nice to see the big odds.

At Betonline, only some of the players get those odds

You have to specifically tell them you want this plan, or you will not get it. They have another plan that does not pay 7 to 1 on 3 team parlays, but gives other benefits. Players who bet these exclusively, or consistantly win on these, may have their account reverted back to 6 to 1 payoffs.

My BOL account only gives me 6-1. Surprised they can offer 7-1 since there is no profit in it. If I request the 7-1, what do I give up (not the 105 lines).

Yes, you give up the low juice

You get to pick big bonuses or low juice. Those who pick big bonuses get the 7 to 1 on 3 teamer parlays. It is no profit for them but they are quick to take the gift away for those who abuse it by winning too much, betting anything correlated, or only better parlays and not doing much of anything else.

Thanks for the lowdown. I'll stick with the 105 lines (have to now anyway as I chose this option long ago). That 7-1 on three teamers would be too enticing; I'd probably have it taken away from me quickly.

The 7 to 1 is equivalent to a no vig promotion, but with a lot of variance. I know some people who were betting lines that were slightly off, mainly dogs and unders. They won; and then they started seeing the normal 6 to 1 odds.

BetUs usaully has all of the moneylines available to put in a parlay, meaning better chance/less money for winning.

Sportsbook.com has a good setup, but IT IS A PAIN IN THE ASS GETTING YOUR MONEY IF YOU WIN. I could do a 3 or 4 page rant on that, but I won't, not yet at least. I just advise you to stay away from them, everyone else seems okay to me.
