TakeIt, it's obvious that you have some type of insecurities that you have to compensate for when you say retarded garbage like this. Keep typing the nonsense, it's only making you look like a fool more and more.

Another 5 unit side bet that you've never been out of your state.
why are you putting down my state (mississippi). you're considered a world traveler if you've been to georgia or alabama. (so you'd lose the 5 points.)

you know, down here, goats are considered family members.

Theres obviously skill involved but half the time the passes miss the intended receiver and its complete chaos on the ice. Dudes are aloud to knock themselves out if they feel like it. Its almost worse than watching nascar on TV
a ton of set plays in hockey will come off a face-off. you should pay attention to left or right handed guy taking draw and where shooters are set up in offensive end. most defensive zone plays are win the face-off, get the puck out.

defensive zone exits, or breakouts, are also set plays. you should watch if a team attacking is going into the strong side of the D, or swinging the puck wide, nearly cross ice to the weak side to gain entrance to the offensive zone. of course that is dependent upon what D a team is playing.

and of course it is hard to pick up the plays on TV where you can't see half the players and what positions they are taking. if you were at a game you would have a better feel for what each team is trying to accomplish and how they are approaching that goal.

much more organized than you suspect.

Also hockey wasnt invented in America, like our top sports were, such as Basketball, football, and baseball(though it has been argued baseball was played in Great Britain B4 America)

The best players aren't American stars. They are Canadian, or from another foreign land.

Their is a multitude of reasons, but Hockey is a big sport internationally just not thriving in America.

Soccer is the worlds biggest sport, but not relevant the US. So maybe we are just behind the curve.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but a Canadian invented basketball not America LMAO.

That's right, a Naismith was born in Canada. The game he came up with was while he was working/teaching in America. It's sort of like people confusing Roger Clemens with being a Texan. That's just where his family moved after he was born and eventually where he gained his fame at San Jac JC and Texas University.

You can trace the inspiration behind a lot of sports back long, long before their 'creators/inventors' came up with the ideas.

Interesting thread. Think Willie Bee and Stats summed things up-I've lived in Canada most of my life and played hockey for most of it. Probably just an exposure, custom thing-the same way nobody in Canada questions why basketball isn't nearly as followed as it is in the USA. I do think basketball was originally a Canadian thing though-think Naismith was Canadian or developed it in Canada. That was probably the first time hockey got mentioned in the same conversation as the NBA playoffs-when Gentry (think it was him) talking about Nash having a hockey type mentality, kind of cool. Hockey should get it's act together though and ditch the fighting to draw fans-kind of hypocritical since I did the hockey fights but it just continues the goon image. Anyways, cheers lads
