World Cup Soccer Contest (100 point entry)

New entry deadline: May 25th. If you want in, you have to send me 100 points before 11:59pm on May 25th.

As mentioned in the rules, you get 10 entries. 10 different teams, 1 team 10 times, or any other mix. Whatever you want. You can either
1. Pick all 10 entries at once, on or before May 26th (with/after sending points), or
2. Put in 1 entry on the 26th. You then put in 1 or more entries per day after that, until you hit 10 entries. There is a tactical advantage to waiting to see what other people select. If you don't care, pick your entries right away.
3. Entries must be posted in this thread, regardless of when you take them.

The contest pays out 100% of points entered.

this is contest is weird, why not doing a handicapping of each game by group.

For example first game South Africa vs Mexico , people must predict the outcome of the game Mexico wins, South Africa wins or DRAW, he who gets it right gets point . do this with all the group stage games and you have a better contest.

The skill is in assessing teams, and deciding if they are overdrafted. It's a different kind of contest.

Justin - why do i get the feeling that this thread was originally started in the Players Forum and not the Soccer Forum.

You have to extend the deadlines to let us soccer contributors enter. The only reason 2 people have joined so far is lack of coverage this will have had on the soccer forum, it's been out since 18th April but this is the first i have heard about it.

I guarantee every soccer poster would like to join this if they knew about it on the sub-forum

all i have to do is pick a team or teams and follow the chart say i pick france and france wins there group i will win 2 points is that sbr points or no just tally points and ect.i dont get it at all.only 2 people so far in it also how many are we expecting.

If France wins the cup, shares of France will be worth a lot of points... But you have to share those points, based on how many shares of France there are.

Teams that don't win still generate points. If you pick a team that finishes second, but no one else picked that team, you get all the points. That's worth a lot more than first-place points split 10 ways, if everyone picks Brazil.

ill put 100 points that frances wins there group how far after who knows.germany england argentina brazil spain all easy winners to the next round.usa will most likly make 2nd round and fall after that.france will prolly go to the 3rd round than lose spain will prolly win it all this year.
