Raiders Aren't Interested In Terrell Owens
    Are the Raiders stupid?

19th May, 2010 - 8:44 am San Francisco Chronicle - Raiders coach Tom Cable says that the team is not interested in signing free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens.

With Owens remaining on the market, there were rumors that Oakland might consider the veteran.

"We really haven't had any discussion about that," Cable said on KNBR radio's Murph and Mac Show. "We've got a good, young receiving corps, it's never been a point of conversation."

Me too. With a proven receiver that can catch balls (most of the time) and the young WRs could learn a thing or two from TO.

He is still productive enought to start. Plus he might give Heward-Bay some insight. How you draft a rookie receiver from Maryland??? Maybe TO can help his sorry ass out. Im a Dallas fan and I miss TO.

Randy Moss couldn't get it done in Oakland...I don't see what a aging Terrell Owens is gonna do...not worth the risk even if your not a good team...

I'll bet that the reason that he's unemployed at the moment has alot to do with two things....$$$$ and age. He's too old to get the money that he wants.

T.O. is one of the best wide receivers this past decade. He still has two or three good years ahead of him. He needs to play for a team with a quarterback who is a known leader (e.g. P. Manning, T. Brady, B. Favre). Terrell will only be happy when there is "mutual respect" between him and the quarterback.

T.O. will NEVER see a Superbowl ring. He is finished. He is a cancer in the locker room, which is why no decent team wants him. He is old. He is asking for too much money. If he wants to play for the minimum, someone picks him up. If not, he remains unemployed.

Well I was just flat out wrong. If the Redskins, Browns and even the Raiders dont want you, no one does. Its going to take an injury now for TO to get a job.

Complimenting the decision making of a team that took Jamarcus Russel as the 1st overall pick in the 2007 draft is beyond me, Im surprised the Raiders didnt draft Tebow with the #8 pick since they love to take overrated QBs that only succeeded in college bc they were twice the size of defenders so anytime they wanted they could just run for 5 yrds before a couple freshman could bring em down

Yea Tebow will fukin suk in the NFL, of that there is no question, he will tuck and charge up the middle and find about half a yard in the pros on the same play he picked up 5 yrds in college, his arm is run of the mill and with that ridiculous delivery hell lead the NFL in fumbles

Jamarcus was same way, the NFL removed his running game which made headlines in college and opened up receivers and forced him to transform into a passing QB, result college gold turns into pro trash

And they are smart enough to avoid a guy who has been an absolute cancer on every team he has ever been on...
