#2Opinions will vary on stakes - I'm a level stakes bettor but i'm only recreational, I think the general consensus is 2%/3% of bankroll per bet. As for the chalk thing, again this is personal opinion, in the wonderful world of sports there is NO value whatsoever in backing anything at under even money oddswise. It's just all too random/unpredictable.
Other peoples opinions will differ on this, but fair play for asking, 99% of bettors fail because its bad money management that screws them up, not bad capping.Comment -

#3from what ive read money mangement is the number 1 thing.if i lose 2 percent i can easily put that back in with my next paycheck how ever.i will never increase my money fast.its kinda a paradox to be honest.i have 50.00 to mess around and see what i can do and more less try to figure something out.2 3 percent will mean like a 2.00 wager which is kinda cheap you ask me.i might just play a few bucks and add some money on friday to get my bankroll up.Comment -

#6No more than 5% of your roll per play and no more than 20% of your roll pending for the day. Example if your roll is $1200 and you play 4 games you would bet $55 per game.Comment -

don't be afraid to buy some books on both sports gambling and statistics and probability, lots of stuff you can learn that will improve your game be patient and make good decisions. Learn not to be a gambler but to be an investorComment -

#11Heres a question:
2% standard bet, when looking at 3 lines, (a)-110 , (b)-150 and c(+120). What do you bet for each line:
a) 2.2% or risk 2%
b) 3% or risk 2%
c) 2% or to win 2%?Comment -

#14if your new to betting and have a small bankroll, just flat bet spreads or wagers with close to EV. See how you do in that first. Heavy chalk bets are something your bankroll is not ready for, and will leave you buried very fast. Just flat bet a unit on near EV wagers, and see if you can hit more than 52%.Comment -
