Should I quit my job for free trip to costa rica?

I originally requested the whole week off may27-june2, when I realized I wouldn't win the trip(12 votes vs 40) I begged my boss to put me back on the schedule. I've just been informed all eligible contestants are going to receive a free trip to CR. I immediately called the boss and begged for the days off again and he basically said not changing schedule again said if I go I'm fired.

The job sucks crappy pay but I can use the internet basically anytime and get paid while doing it. I have bills so I need the job, but I do have a part time job I could possibly work more at but it sucks so bad. Still not sure what I want to do yet. I think he just wants me to quit so he doesn't have to pay me unemployment, alot of people just got laid off. What do you guys think?

This is the correct answer... If they fire you, you'll still be elgible for unemployment if you have a doctor's note!

This was my way of working in my younger days... Work six months, Get fired on purpose and collect Unemployment for the next 6 months!

Yeah, crappy job with decent perks. I am pretty broke tho child support + rent + utilities. Looks like I'll have to pass this time... would like to thank rebate wager again for the opportunity and thanks guys for helping me see straight.
