they may fall more toward asian, but they are different from other asians, hence pacific islander. Like Samoan, Hawaiian, etc.. Asia is a HUGE continent, no one from one end to the other looks alike. SW Asia is mostly arab, then Middle is Indian, Paki, then you have the far east asians, Jap,Chi,Thai,Viet,etc.. then the islanders have a different look from them.

I find it fascinating & love studying this stuff, how different peoples have evolved to completely change certain body & face characteristics.
