I played it some on an emulator for the first time since I was a kid. If you've played, what do the scrolls do that come out of the big lamps you hit with your yo-yo? I Googled a walkthrough that mentions magic attacks that relate to a build-up of items, shown at the bottom of the screen, but it wasn't fully explained.
