Rask needs to play a near flawless game if he wants to beat Philly tonight. Philly's D wil be tough to play against tonight and I see them playing the trap.
Boston play the trap better than anyone. Scoring first will be huge tonight.

Agreed.

Exactly. A lot of guys betting hockey because they have nothing better to do. Very few actually know anything about the sport.
Good luck to you, lakerboy. I'm a big Savard fan, so I can't make an unbiased opinion on this game, but injuries and returning players certainly does set the stage for a PHI win. Best of luck.

4 wins after 3 losses hasn't happened since 1975. But I'm feeling it tonight! Flyers make history in a close game.

Leighton is much better the boucher and was ahead of him in the depth chart during the season. Unless theres late action on boston like there was on philly in game 6, then philly is the play for me as well but this time I'm waiting till the game to put my bets in

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but in NHL history, this is the sixth time a team came back from 3-0 down to tie the series.
In two of the previous five cases, the team completed the comeback (1942 Maple Leafs in SCF and 1975 Islanders).

The nhl playoffs have been some of the best most intense hockey i've seen in a long time. Personally, I'm taking Philly +105 tonite, love the value and even comparing it2 game 7 in Pitt, they were -250 favs and Boston is only -160. I think bookies want everyone on Boston. With all the stats against Philly, with the whole never coming back after being down 3-0 history as well, i thought boston playing at home would be at least -190 even with their poor play in games 5 and 6. Gotta love the value with Philly. Lets go Flyers!!!
None of this makes any sense.
1)Boston is not -160.
2)How should they be -190? They've been terrible since Game 3 and have completely collapsed. They're having trouble generating chances. This is a fair line. -190 is absurd when we're talking about two fairly even teams and the underdog has the momentum. Boston should be around -115 or -120 and that's what they are.

Leighton on the road is a big ?
Who is his backup tonight?
Johan Backlund, who has made one start in the NHL.
Basically, Philly has used three goalies this season regularly:
Ray Emery (done for the season)
Michael Leighton
Brian Boucher (almost certainly done for the season)
All three have been injured, but Leighton was able to return from his most recent injury to replace Boucher.

No they will be there for sure. If flyers lose then so be it but backing boston tonight is not being realistic- they are worn out and are in panic mode. IF philly scores first the floodgates will open. It was only a year ago that boston lost game 7 on home ice in this second round.

Think you're wrong about the pulse in the locker room, laker. The B's players and staff are more confident than you think. I think the energy in the place, along with the intensity and discipline they were playing with before it went missing the last three games, is gonna carry the B's tonight. B's win 3-1.
However, I will add that I think they must score first.

Pretending to know what the locker room atmosphere is like is fukking hilarious. Give me a break. Fukk intangibles, guys. Go with common sense. BOS has lost two offensive players, PHI got one back, BOS has stopped scoring, PHI has started. Fukk the locker room.

I might be way off but you sound as if you know the inside situation. Did you see how Claude Julien and his players looked after the last game during interviews? Good luck to your team capy but i doubt they are as confident as you think.

I'm not arguing with the logic of a Flyers play -- I'm not stupid, I know the offense has been missing (I was the one screaming to everyone that Krejci's been their BEST PLAYER all playoffs)... obviously Philly's been having the better of the play, and their top three players have been better than ours (excluding Rask)... it's just a hunch I have is all... I'm not telling anyone what to do with their money, but if you ask me, the Bruins turn the ship around TONIGHT and get a win. 3-1. That's what I think. That's all. Good luck to everyone.

Good God I was kidding about Leighton-making fun of the high profile goalies such as Luongo not getting it done (not entirely his fault but you know) while the lesser known (is it okay to say that, nobody will piss themselves) are coming through. Called a sense of humor lad.
