    What Happened to NuCharge?
Anybody know what is up with NuCharge? I heard they had canceled e-check withdrawls 2 days ago, and now their site has been down all day. Are they gone?

I had about $1,600 in there so I am wondering if that money is gone now?

It's it's Nucharge.com the site is up this morning. I"ve never used them and would never leave 4 figures in an e wallet unless I have 100% confidence in them.

Even if I felt I had 100% confidence in Ewallet's these days I wouldn't even consider it as viable option anymore 20four7. I would rely on be playing with books that accepted Book-2-Books transfers only.

Here's what I know. I had been using Nucharge ATM cards (I have 3) to withdraw large amounts very easily (paying small transaction fees). However, a few weeks ago they placed some limits on the ATM cards. Basically now you can only withdraw $2000 Australian dollars (approx. $1667 US dollars)per card per 30 days. You can order more ATM cards, however, due to increased demand it is taking a month or longer to get additional ones. Before it only took 10 days. I am waiting on 3 more. Occasionally the ATM option "goes down" on their site, which can be a pain.

As for echeck, it was removed as an option about a week ago. The max per request was $2500. Even before that, it was taking about 30 days for them to process them. I requested one once, but cancelled it after a week because the ATM was working reasonably well. I emailed them about the echeck not being an option anymore, and the response was quite canned stating technological upgrades to their system. Perhaps it is true or maybe it's permanent who knows.

A third option which I have not done is bank wire (max of $2500 per wire). From what I've read on some poker forums, those have taken anywhere from 10-15 business days.

What really ticks me off is that I won a sig. amount and in the past I have deposited mostly to Bodog by echeck (directly through Bodog) and to a much lesser extent through Nucharge. Bodog's "new" policy per their CS dept. is that once a player deposits via Nucharge, all payouts must be done via Nucharge as well. Obviously, this has forced more payouts to occur through Nucharge, which I believe is why their having problems now handling the increased transactions. Also, probably why Bodog payouts via check have improved.

I'm at the point I think where I have too much money to move via Nucharge. I don't like the idea of international bank wires. I plan to move my Nucharge balance back to Bodog, close the Nucharge account, and then be allowed to get payouts via check by courier.

My gut feeling is that Nucharge is in a bit over their head right now in terms of volume. I like the ATM method, but the new restrictions on it make it very difficult to use for larger amounts.

While BBD I keep money at Moneybookers. Nothing big usually around a dime. When I had neteller I had anywhere between $500 and 2K in there most times. I played poker and always needed 1,500 to deposit into VC every month to get my bonus there. Once I cleared it I withdrew until next month to hit it up again.

I really don't like the book to book transfer as I don't want pinny knowing I'm sending 3K to the greek or cris or whatever. Nor do I want the greek to know about other accounts. If a book wants my business it has to offer moneybookers or be able to process a CC deposit.

Let me clarify 20four7. I should have said that this only implies to U.S. players and their choice of current Ewallet options they have.

My situation was the same as Maritime's. I was using the ATM cards and that was working well. I was doing payouts from Bodog, and transferring the cash to the ATM cards and had cash in hand within an hour or two turnaround time. I hit my limits on my 8 cards and reordered some more. I just ended up with the 4 figures because I had exceeded the ATM amounts, when I miscounted and thought I have more availability.

I'm just hoping that they stay in business for at least 6 more days so it hits the new month and I can cash out what I have on the new month's availibility.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the beginning of the month resets your ATM card availability. Initially, it did say per "calendar month." However, they changed it to "per 30 days" so that everyone's cards wouldn't reset at the same time.

I wouldn't think you would have a problem at all, but please do keep us posted on how it turns out for you.
