You'd be surprised what some people sell them for on ebay especially if it comes with the box and receipt so they can get it insured.

I sold the setting, but kept the 1.5 carat, vvs1, F color diamond. Some lady will be happy to put that rock on her finger. The offers you get on used jewerly are insulting.

Kind of hard to tell if it's used or not. Clean and polish it and the ring will look as good as new.

In reality you probably got what it's worth to begin with. Diamonds are the biggest mark up scam ever. They're not rare, although DeBeers would like you to believe that.

If I remember correctly he went from being single to dating her to being engaged in a very short span while sleeping with other women at the same time with one of them being married. So unless his fiance was stupid she wouldn't have found out about our Casanova.
