nfl really messed this up bad if seattle win lions have nothing to play for line will surely jump from 4.5 to over 7 so no reason bet lions early

any other major sport baseball soccer would play games at same time to prevent stuff like this shameful

i think if you like the packers you bet it now before the seahawks result. you have to assume the seahawks win.

I never assume a team favored by less than a TD wins. They should but it's still in the weeds.
They beat the Rams in Wk13 by 4 in LA so they "should" win.
I tend to agree with your logic, though.

I totally agree with the OP. Did the NFL assume Lions would want to knock GB out of the playoffs after knowing they couldn't make it? I don't remember all the ins and out angles? But if Seattle wins... GB loses... Seattle is in. Detroit's offense is good... the defense has to show up.

If Seattle wins (which they should), the GB/DET line will barely move. Someone bump this thread in 3 days

The angle here is a SEA/GB ML parlay.

Then again, even if Detroit is out, it's not like they're going to rest everyone. Why would they? I'm sure they'd still love to knock GB out.

maybe but a dinged up player may sit and u think those guys who's contracts are up or no guaranteed money left are going to go all out knowing a torn acl or big injury causes them to lose lots of money in free agency, i just feel like if seahawks win going to be a let down for lions knowing they have nothing to play for

He is correct, the point isn't that Detroit won't play hard, it's that the bettors think they won't, thus giving you a worse line.

Motivation and new or rookie QB in a game are the two things that market hasn't caught up with regarding squares. They literally happen every year, I talk about it, and few admit it or take notice. Good, more money for me.

Nfl might be adding 2 playoff teams because of the cancellation.

The worst betting mistake of week 18 is betting all the teams that “need” to win. Lines are already inflated for those teams and if the same teams won the games they “needed” to win they wouldnt be in a need to win situation

You guys do realize we had two teams that played Sunday night last year that went to overtime and didn’t have to win and they were both would have been in and money poured in on the tie and suddenly one team decided to win the game.
The nfl is setting you guys all up to take a giant shit on your face. What are you guys doing? Everyone in here thinking they cracked some sort of code and are ready to make all this money. No one is learning
