Remember your first sportsbook? Phone and/or Online...
What was your first sportsbook via Phone and/or Online

    Phone: English Sports Betting
When I was 16 I started an account with them. Was betting $20 teasers every weekend. I remember a cute sounding female always answering the phone there.

    Online: Bodog
Started with them when I was 21. Loved the easy deposit feature, messed around with them for years until discovering a way better book in Pinnacle. Was shocked that a book like that even existed.

    How about you?

My first book was SBGGlobal back in college (1998). They were actually pretty good back then. Now I hear, there one of the worst.

                1st Bookie

My first bookie was a small time book in North Carolina in the early 1970's. He was very good, paid on time, and expected me to do the same.

My first online bood was Aces Gold. I got out about 2 weeks before they folded. And I immediately signed with SBG Global. Although many at the time told me they were a bit shakey, I've had nothing but outstanding service with them. Actually, the ranch that I live on now was purchased with funds collected from SBG. They do have a lot of what I'd call high priced lines and other books have lower pricing and better lines, but I still have an account with SBG and would reccommend them to anyone. Hey, one can usually tell how good a book is by how long they've been in business and it's hard to find one that's been around longer that SBG.

1st Book was a guy named Ed who I bowled with. When he passed away I found a guy named Bob. Both were great and win or lose we settled every week.

On line was Cybersportsbook which was associated with Paradise poker at the time. I played a lot of poker so poker sites with sportsbooks were great. My first only sportsbook was Pinny.

Phone: A guy named Freddy who ran his business out of a sandwich stop. Got hooked up with him through my late grandmother God rest her soul lol. She traveled the country playing bridge, and to this day remains the sharpest gambler I've ever known. Would pay or collect via envelope every Tuesday.
