    I just hired a former Wisconsin badger LB at my pizza shop

    Says he played in the 90s with wisconsin and went undefeated until they played Miami of ohio in the rose bowl.
    Guys name is Thomas dennis

    Can anyone validate he played for the badgers? He HATES OHIO STATE and loves the chicago bears.

    Wisconsin has never player Miami of Ohio in a bowl game; they did play Miami of Florida in the Champs Sports Bowl in Dec. 2009 and won 20-14. Sounds like your guy is giving you serious BS.

    Mach, I have some familiarity w/ the Badgers from that area. Name doesn't ring a bell.

    Ask him about some of his teammates. Ask about Pete Monty, Joe Panos, and Cory Raymer.

    The Miami (OH) thing doesn't make any sense. The Badgers did play Miami (FL) at least once in a bowl game. But that was much later.

    The sad truth is that most of these guys leave college with no degree and a lifetime of injuries the school never has to pay for. I know several All American college players that went from BMOC to working sales at car dealerships, peddling medical supplies, working in law enforcement, etc. Guys on top of the world and come crashing down. Heck, a lot of NFL players in the same boat. The average player in the NFL plays under 3 years. We hear about the select few but most are nowhere close.

    You may think a guy making $3 million on a 4 year deal is great but that is no money. By the time you pay your agent and taxes, you're lucky to see half of it. Then if you get injured or can't reup, you will never see that 4th/5th year option. How are you going to make that money last a lifetime?? You won't. Most guys don't really get paid until that 2nd deal and unfortunately, most of them will never get that 2nd deal. I have a friend right now into his 2nd deal but he's been struggling to catch on, stay on rosters and not end up on the practice squad.
