I had a pipe break in my basement. I have full homeowners coverage. The insurance paid $800 for the pipe, $1500.00 for the room repair, but did not cover clothing. Clothes were destroyed by water, 10 glad bags filled.
The insurance said they dont cover water damages. I said bullshit....I sued in small claims for $3 grand. Now they want to settle. The receipts are tought to get. I have pictures of the 10bags of clothes.
1. The problem is getting receipts for these clothes.
2. They are offering $750.00.
3. My homeowners covers everything except sewer backups. I am thinking about telling them to shove the $750.00 and lets go to court.
