Bet ALL 1st inning props at + odds
Since baseball games have a 50/50 chance in the long run of a run being scored in the 1st inning, one could bet all 1st inning props at +odds and have an edge then in the long run using straight bets...could even use a labouchere or x, 2x, 3x wagering plan...odds of losing three in a row at a 50/50 chance is around 12.5%....chance of losing four in a row at 50/50 chance is 6.25%...so wouldn't this be profitable in some way??

    Insight people!!!! THanks

Where did you come up with this 50/50 number????

and are you taking into consideration the teams that are playing or just blindly betting these props????

I got the 50/50 number from some others on the thread...they said that in the long run, runs are scored in the first inning half the time...so IF this is true, then betting the plus odds props straight or in an x, 2x, 3x wagering plan, wouldn't this be profitable???

Hey Rush...do you always bet no?

I have looked into the 1st inning score thing. I'd say it does hit roughly 50/50. I've noticed many times the early games will be overwhelmingly a run then there wont be any in the late. Just too hard to predict, but blindly taking the +money, no! They are +money for a reason

Usually +$$$$ on the no when the O/U is 10 or higher, therefore when you are betting +$$$$ in these situations it is no longer a 50/50 proposition.

I think what your overlooking here is that although a scoreless first inning may be 50/50 when looking at every game on the board you can not draw an accurate hypothesis because this is a biased sample. You need to draw your win % on a sample of hundreds of past games where the no was +$$$$ and you can not include games when no was -$$$$.

This is like saying that over/unders are 50/50 and therefore it would be profitable to bet any over/under that was +$$$$
