LOL... 549 here. I've lost some close games by a point or a half a point. I'm gonna try to salvage this season by at least going 4-0 couple times...

I'm not so sure tailing doc will be that easy. sometimes by the time we get to make our plays we can lay -6.5 on a 9 point favorite. Hard to tail that.

I'm like 13-6, but since I'm 1-4 in my "big bets" (worst idea ever), I'm smack in the middle of the pack. I find it interesting when you see three posts within a minute of one another at like three in the morning, just making it evident that there are a lot of ghosts entering this thing.
Doc's record at this point is unbelievable, no doubt about it...

i was in the 20's till last weekends goose-egg, now i'm like 200 and something. that what i get for trying some goofy strategy. i tried to play games hardly anyone was picking. that so backfired. should have stuck to laying the chalk with top teams against inferior opponents .

I am sure SBR checks to see if there are any multiple IP's in the contest from same one

Well - join the high school football team then blow off a 75 year old guy and the transformation will be complete.

I can't get the season standings to load but I am 13-6, can't remember how I did on my big plays. Last year I was about 10th place going into the last week and got greedy. I faded a guy ahead of me trying to move up, of course he went 4-0 and I ended up 2 or 3 spots out of the money, LOL. Teach me to be greedy. Fun contest, the only one I play on the internet these days.

Dam I feel like that Message in frigging Bottle song with this one. There are guys worse off than me???
Hey, last year BigMo had a lead like Docs mid year and I dont believe he finished in the money, the top 20.
Its a long year. A couple of 4-0's and a little help and you guys could be browsing Harleydavidson.com too!!!

Only way to win this thing is a major streak. Like the Rockies. Something out of the ordinary.
But, having accepted that I'm on no such streak, I found a broader use for free football contests: as milestones in the process of capping. Why not use contests as different stages to zero in on winners and filter out losers? This has advantages, because there is something about the act of entering (even when it doesn't involve a female). Early last week I entered an OVER as my strongest pick somewhere, but by Sunday morning I knew the UNDER was the play. The game stayed well under. Without that contest as first step I may not have completed that process. Better to lose a contest pick and win a bet than the other way around. (I use Greek and Statfox contests).
Kudos to Doc for a 18-1 streak.

This is the best free contest I've ever seen. I got lucky one week and won $100 for doing nothing. $100 isn't exactly enough to retire on but its a very nice dinner for me and my wife. Its unfortunate we all can't roll like JJ.

Let's see how the "degenerate gamblers" here at SBR are doing with their picks:
