........and a large percentage of posters here have never had the pleasure of eating fresh walleye.

Those that have know what I'm talking about.

I like it. Catch em ever year out of the Deleware River but won't eat anything out of there.

The best WALLEYE is from the Dakotas, Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin.................and of course, Canada.

We used to go King Salmon fishing at Lake Ontario every year. Grill em up as soon as we get off the boat. Unbelievable. Talk about heaven.

Being from Bama and like all true southern people I thought Crapi was the best tasting fresh water fish ever. That was untill I had Walleye......A friend of mine from Minny brought down some fillets and they were by far the best fish i have ever eaten. As you all can tell by my screen name I am an avid angler and now sauger is part of my normal creel here in Alabama.....A sauger is small walleye and tastes the same......Sauger are plentiful here in Bama and not fished for by many people...

If one can combine this fish with a true northerner that knows how to cook it..............not only will it be the best tasting fish to eat, it may very well could become the best meal of any kind for some.

Excellent and Fun Walleye fishing in city of Algonac on St. Clair River during the night time. Fast current and darkness requires some minor special gear. Michigan State Park one mile away to stay at.
