Holy crap that was crazy. I was having a few drinks with my buddy and stupidly decided to drive home. I got pulled over on the highway and the cop asked me to get out of the car. He asked me a few questions about my night and then proceeded to give me a moving violation ticket... I had drunk a bit and if he would have given me the field sobriety test I probably would have failed. I feel very blessed this guy was nice and let me off the hook and I learned a valuable lesson the easy way I suppose, will never be driving after a drink ever again. Probably top 5 scariest moments of my life thinking I was going to jail for a DUI... btw if you ever drink and drive and think you wont get caught.... not true. I feel EXTREMELY lucky right now unreal.

Glad it worked out for you bro. I was given the field sobriety test when I was 21 and passed. Ironically it was in the parking lot of a bar. I passed the test even though I had about 6 or 7 beers in me. My buddy had called me from this bar after I had been home from work for a few hours and said he was up there with a few broads and I should roll on up there. Bar was exactly 1 mile from where I used to live. Funny thing was after I passed the sobriety test the cop asks me, "you goin in to get package goods?" And I reply, "I am now" I know how lucky you feel cuase I know I was over the .1 limit it was back then. It's .08 here now. Congrats.

Agree...just remember to have those keys in the truck and not even remotely near the ignition. Many people drive, realize they are drunk, and then pull off to the side of the road to "sleep it off"...if the keys are in the ignition you will get a DUI whether you were driving or not.Originally posted by pavyracerComment -
The last time I drank and drove was when I was 21 as well. I drank two Old English 40 oz's in like 2 hours. I ran a red light three blocks from my house and got pulled over by the shift Supervisor (I've heard of this guy before). He pulled me over, took my license, registration and insurance and had me sit in my car for what me seemed like an eternity. He returned to the car with like 5 other officers and they fukkin make me do the field sobriety test.
Incredibly, I walked the line like a fukkin soldier straight as an arrow. Had me doing the tilt the head shit back on one leg touch your nose BS. The cops couldn't believe it. They then made me do some crazy thing with my fingers where I count each one 1,2,3,4,5. The cop who demonstrated how to do it was even having trouble and I fukkin did it better than him. Then this fukker made me write out the alphabet and sign my name.
All the cops knew I was drunk and for some reason let me drive home. The most incredible feat of all this was how I was able to make myself sober enough in that short span while I sat in my car. I visualized in my head what was going to happen and all of it did happen and I saw myself walking the line as if I was a russian tightrope trapeze artist or something.
I never DUI'd since then.

first week of football camp my junior year of college.... I was a few weeks shy of my 21st birthday...
some friends and I went down to Pittsburgh with some of the guys to eat at a friend's families restaurant and microbrewery... I sampled out of little tiny glasses barely bigger than a shot glass 3 or 4 beers... maybe 8-10 ounces of beer total.
on the drive home we got pulled over 200 yards from campus ( I wasn't driving) I was the only under 21 passenger... cop breathlized me.... and it came back .01..... NOT .1 which was legally intoxicated back then... but 1/10th of that... .01!!!!
still got arrested for underage drinking.... lost my license, fines ect...
