A male armed-robbery suspect is in custody following a Saturday night police chase that started at the Northwest Side business.
The chase started in the 5000 block of West Belmont Avenue, according to preliminary police information.
The male suspect was taken into custody in Munster, Ind., shortly before 9 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.
Chicago Police chased the white pick-up truck following an armed robbery about 8 p.m., Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Mike Bobko said.
The truck entered the southbound lanes of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), Bobko said.
According to a witness who did not want to be named, the robbery occurred at a tanning salon.

Tomato appreciated the abnormal amount of police cars - no one was out there setting speed traps. Got home quick.
