This guy is pathetic! He has 7 errors this year but that doesn't begin to demonstrate how awful he is. He plays ever ball to the side no matter what and a hard hit ball at him is a sure error or hit. He avoids being charged with errors because he plays balls to the side and often whiffs them completely or gets a piece of it and does some dumbass dive/fall down move that makes it look difficult. In the game today he has 1 error but it should be 3 because he straight up whiffed 2 balls. The guy is such a tool and if he wasn't hitting so well I'd be livid.

#7lol really? I know way more than you bucko. BTW I know he's won a few gold gloves. I'm not saying he has always been bad, I'm only saying that this year he is awful. Something changed. Perhaps he dedicates more time to his offense in practice now.Comment -

#12any educated baseball fan knows about UZR. The only defensive metric that matters. Beltre is among the league leaders defensively. Clearly, he is challenged at the plate, with his lack of plate discipline, but he is worth every penny the Redsox and Mariners have paid him since he left LA. The worst thing AB ever did was hit 49 HRs for the Dodgers.

#20BUT HIS LONG BALLS MAKE UP FOR IT:
Beltre put the Rangers up 1-0 in the fourth with his eighth homer in 15 games. The 33 homers are one more than he had in his debut with the Rangers last season. The only time he hit more in his career was in 2004 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, when he led the majors with 48.
343 on the career....Comment
