SBR Points - Is Bill Dozer is genius?
I have to say from a social scientist perspective . . . points are the equivalent of social security/welfare for many posters

It's is very difficult to just leave or ghost (especially when you have a lot of points), probably easier to sell your house. With the exception of Pavy and a few posters, who are are the forums because they like posting, this system has slowly raised the individual's tolerance to kicked around out of fear of losing their ability to acquire points....genius if you ask me.

Could probably do some good research with this using pre and post "point" sample data

Great idea used 100's of times in the past. Credit cards with airline miles, Marlboro cigarettes with mile points (for those who were around in the 1990's), earning points on debit card use, even Betty Crocker has points on the food boxes they sell which you can claim for your school.

Lets not make it like he re-invented the wheel.

The concept was long in the making. Some of you ole timers may recall the SBR Reputation Points??? It was short lived because the drama and politics but the idea went back to the drawing board where it was re examined and re engineered.

Bill was the creative force behind the original points concept with the SBR store. Afterwords it was the management team who contributed with the idea to add sportsbooks and racebooks, lotto, ect. All these plans are the type that look great on paper but need a top man to plan and coordinate their implementation and bring them to life because there was some seriously daunting tasks involved. So not only can he bring it with concepts but he can roll up his sleeves and get it done, and that is usually the hardest part of a great idea just getting it done.

Some of the best inventions are modifications of old ones...

...I highly doubt he said anything at SBR's Board meeting that points "would solidify the empire"...I highly doubt it.

I don't own a sports forum. They pay him 6 figures to come up with gimmicks like that. And I have many inventions in my profession. What have you actually invented in your career? Crushing forums?
