I'm on Alabama at -7 -115 1h.
The Bearcats we're a solid team, bit their schedule was very easy, and the only 2 decent defenses they faced were Indiana and Notre Dame.
In the Indiana game Cincinnati was 2-9 on third down and they averaged just 3 yards a rush. In the Notre Dame game Cincinnati struggled on third down as well, going 4 of 14, and they averaged just 3 yards a rush on that game as well. Cincinnatis weakness on offense all year was the offensive line, and they weren't able to run on either of the good defenses they faced, which forces them into hard third down they struggled to convert. Alabamas secondary was inconsistent, bit their run defense was elite, and they held top rushing teams such as Texas a@m and Georgia to less than 4 yards a carry. Ridder was inconsistent without a running game.
Alabamas weakness on offense was the inconsistent offensive line, specifically at tackle position, bit the offensive line played much better at the end of the season, and the line played very well against Georgia in the SEC championship. Bruce Going also played much better and ran more on big games like the sec championship game.
Alabama should be able to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and Alabamas improved offensive line should be fine here. Cincinnati's defense is solid, but Alabama is playing their best on offense now, and great offense almost always beats good defense in football today.
