#4I got it at 205.5 so yep he ****ed me, closed at 207 I think.
I am not mad at the kid for having a solid quarter but I'm ****in pissed that he threw up that meaningless 3 ball with 4 seconds left, no need to even shoot the ball in that situation, just let the shot clock expireComment -

#7Most players would have just taken the shot clock violation. I'm willing to bet that any other suns player wouldve ran the clock outComment -

I realize that the shot clock had about a 4 second differential but almost any veteran, veteran being the key word, would have just taken the violation in that situation because the game was well in hand and they would not want to show up their opponent but rookies don't know any better. Not really mad at the kid, he had a hell of a quarter and was just in that zone, just upset I lost my under play when it looked like a sure cash.Comment -

#13Had 207
Never understood why they take a shot clock violation late, it just wastes time and extends the game more.
2 3's in 30 seconds of a meaningless game is pretty brutal, and when i got in a checked it i had no idea u had 207, i thought it was 205.Comment -

thanks buddy, been around this too long to be making threads like that, sometimes that is just the way it goes and you have to move on
NBAStats
the first part of your post pertaining to players rarely taking the violation in spots like this is way off IMO, players always do it. The second part about why should they, I would say they do it because of sportsmanship, no real reason to fire up a shot and rub it in your opponents face when you're already up double digits with only a few seconds left on the clock. I would expect better awareness of the NBA from a poster that calls himself NBAstats, come on bud, step up your game you're better than that.Comment -

#16but when you're in hot form (next time maybe for another year) like dragic, i think it's not strange to just shoot the ball for fun.. ( i do really think he just shot it for fun)Comment -

#17I still say that they don't often take a shot clock violation intentionally there. It slows down the game, and oftentimes there are reserves in at this point that need the work. It's not taunting, it's not disrespectful, it's just ball.Comment -

#29i never see anyone take a shot clock violation, how the fukk is that showing up your opponent? if they can't deal with losing by an extra 3 points then they need to go to the mental hostipal.
Taking a shot clock violation makes the game longer, not shorter.

#32I didn't have the Under but players who take meaningless shots in the last seconds when they are embarrassing a team have no class. The leagues top players shake their teammates hands and just run the time clock out.Comment -

#35Dragic is a star in the making, he's gonna be a force. And for anyone who missed the game:
Suns' Guard Dragic Burns Spurs For 26 Points In Just 17 Minutes
San Antonio, TX, United States (AHN) - Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic made the most of his 17 minutes Friday night vs. the San Antonio Spurs, pouring in 26 points on the strength of five three-pointers.
The Suns forged a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals with a 110-96 victory.
Before the outburst, Dragic was having an ordinary series in averaging just under eight points a contest.
He exploded in the fourth quarter, knocking down 9 of 11 shots, including all four three-pointers he attempted.
Dragic kept starting point guard Steve Nash fresh for game four, when the Suns can sweep the Spurs out of the playoffs.
The rookie from Ljubljana, Yugoslavia only had one small hole in his game, connecting on just 1 of 3 free throws in the contest.
Look for the Suns to go to him more, and earlier, in game four to exceed Dragic's average of 14.4 minutes per game.Comment
